Harpers Ferry, West Virginia

Since Ben got a job a few weeks ago we've been appreciating life without homework or job hunting. This weekend we drove about 1 hour north of D.C. to an area called Harper's Ferry. It was one of the coolest places we've visited in this area so far.

We were also able to give Paije her first spin in a bike trailer. That was one of my garage sale finds from last week. She is a little small for it still but I think she had a good time.

Funny Photos

Last week I left my camera in a park close to our apartment. When I realized the mistake I had made, I rushed back to the park but it was gone. I was completely convinced that the camera was gone for ever....but....then....I received an unexpected phone call from a stranger who had seen the sign I posted in the park regarding a lost camera. She had found it! Miracle. Thank goodness for honest people.

If I hadn't of gotten it back hundreds of priceless moments like these would have been lost forever!

Cousins and West Virginia

Last weekend we drove to the Appalachians in Eastern West Virginia. We rented a house there for the weekend with the Pierces and Johnsons. We had two fun filled days and two mostly sleepless nights, but all in all we had a great time! It was hard to do any hiking with six kids on board, but we did manage to make it to these beautiful water falls. Thank goodness they were only about 100 feet from the parking lot.

The house had a hot tub that we turned into a mini pool equipped with water slide and everything.

Paije loved the water of course. She is such a tad pole.

We are so grateful to have a brother and sister in law who are willing to totally inconvenience themselves to get together. They had to drive 8 hours with 3 kids to meet up and Tyler was sick the whole time to boot!

We managed to corrall all the cousins onto this rock.

Don't they make a cute pair.

Solid Food

Paije loves the bath! I think she is going to be a great swimmer someday. We are really excited for the pool to open so we can go swimming together everyday after work.

This week has been eventful. Paije had her first sampling of solid foods. Incredibly entertaining...wish you all could of been there for the big event. Every night I try and feed her a little rice cereal. By the time we are done she has done a fabulous job covering her face and most of her limbs in it. I honestly don't think she swallows a drop.

We also got Paije her first Johny Jumper, recommended by my mother. She likes it most of the time. I am just happy to get her up off her back.
