Toronto Trip
Toronto is the largest city in all of Canada. Consequently, Ben and I felt like it was worthy of a visit while we are living in this area. To save on costs and to have more fun, we organized the trip with three other couples in the ward.
During the trip we did go and see the CN tower (see picture below). The tower is the world's second tallest freestanding structure and to me it looked like a super-sized space needle. We would of loved to of rode to the top but the tickets cost more than all our students loans combined....and that's a lot! O.k. so it only cost $25 per person but that might of well of been $100,000 is was so far above our budget.

Ben and I had the pleasure of riding in the back seat with this beautiful little girl during our trip. Isn't she so cute!

Beat this!
I have heard people say that blogs are simply an excuse to brag about your life. Instead of denying this argument.....I am going to embrace it!
I want to brag about my husband and his baking abilities. The other week Ben confidently announced that he was going to bake some bread. A few hours later I walked into the kitchen to discover Ben and the kitchen covered in dirty bowls and flour. I laughed and tried to reassure Ben that it will probably take a few attempts before he would figure out this whole bread baking thing.
Boy did I eat my words when he pulled out two perfect loafs from the oven a few hours later. I sure wasn't expecting that! Good luck keeping up with the Kachers!!!

Niagara Falls
Owasco Lake House
Ben and I thought it would be fun to take the Pearce's to the finger lakes while they were visiting. We decided to rent a house on Owasco lake that was equip with kayaks, canoes, and a huge hammock. The day we arrived the water was still and the sky was perfectly clear. We had a great time and the day we left Ben even caught a fish!

Sand Castles and Seaweed
Last week Ben's sister, Amelia, and her family came to visit us. We had the most wonderful time with them. On Labor Day we all crammed into our car and drove to Green Lakes. Green Lakes is one of my favorite places in Syracuse. The water is the most beautiful green color and looks like something out of National Geographic magazine. We spent the day roasting hot dogs, swimming, building sandcastles, and playing with kids. It was a perfect way to spend the last day of summer.
