The Godfather

Ten days ago our dear friend Katie Petersen (introduced Ben and I) had the most beautiful baby in the world. Ben and I love hanging out with her and we frequently stop by to hold her and love her. Consequently, it was only natural that we appointed ourselves to be her godparents. Right after we made the announcement she peed all over Ben. It was pretty funny!

Mount Timpanogos Climb

Last weekend we hiked Mt. Timp with Ben's parents and sister, Nelli. We had a great time and managed to do the entire climb in under 10 hours! Nelli amazed us all by hiking to the top in only three hours without any water.

Top of the World

My parents were able to spend a few days with Ben and I before my family reunion began. During there stay we drove up to the top of Brighton. If you live in Utah and you've never done this it is a must see! There are 360 degree views of the mountain ranges. Its absolutely amazing.

Double Date

The other weekend we set Ben's best friend Matt up with one of Amelia's (Ben's sister) good friends from college. She was a very interesting person and had spent the past six years being the Vice President's and Laura Bush's travel coordinator. Part of her job involved traveling to most of their destinations and facilitating their trips. She had been to more parts of the world then anyone I've ever met. I was sooo jealous!!!

For dinner we made Shish Kabobs, one of Ben's favorite dinners.

After dinner we rode the chair lift at Sundance Resort. It was amazing to float through the night sky and look at the stars and full moon. If it wasn't so expensive we would love to do it again.

Bear Scare

Ben and I decided to go camping in the mountains behind his parents house a few weeks ago. After driving up a dusty dirt road for about 30 minutes we finally came to a small campground with about 15 sites. Unfortunately, it was surprisingly crowded with ATVers! At first it was annoying. Until the park ranger stopped by our campsite to tell us that a bear had been disturbing campers LAST NIGHT! He told us not to worry and to simply make a lot of noise if we heard him in our sight. Great...not to worry! At least I wasn't annoyed about the noisy ATVers anymore.
