BBQ Time!

This past weekend Ben and I had a BBQ with Brenda and Ralph from the ward. The were baptized about six months ago and we love spending time with them, especially when it involves Ralph at the BBQ. He is an amazing cook! Can you tell from the smile on Ben's face?

Our First Bonfire

One Friday afternoon a few weeks ago Ben and I decided to go on a little adventure. It was one of the first warm days (o.k. it was above 40 degrees NOT including the wind chill) of the year and we really wanted to go do something outside. We decided the best way to spend the evening would be to make tin foil dinners and cook them on a bonfire. So I got the dinners ready and then we headed to the park. On the way we stopped by a Chinese restaurant where Ben had spotted some wooden crates. He insisted we strap two of them to the top of the car...yes, we are most definitely too cheap to buy campfire wood. When we arrived at the park Ben started up the bonfire.

I was freaked out that we were going to burn the entire park down since it was so windy. Ben reassured me that he was an expert bonfire builder. He was right. We survived...and so did our tin foil dinners. Yum!

Traditions

This year I thought it would be fun to dye easter eggs. I just figure that if we want to have fun Kacher family traditions we had better get started. Ben didn't seem to agree with me however. His idea of dying easter eggs is plopping all of the eggs into the dye all at once, waiting a couple of minutes, and then bingo you're done! Clearly he has no creative vision. Here is what we ended up with!

Dinner Plates?

Its seems like every night Ben and I have an argument over whether or not we should use "real" plates or paper plates. I personally believe that inexpensive paper plates are a much better option that having to wash more dishes at night. What do you think?
