Kacher Family Reunion

One of the benefits of living in Utah this summer was an opportunity to be fully initiated into the Kacher Family! The process included....
#1 Hiking fourteen miles to our campsite
#2 Jumping into freezing lost lake
(I didn't actually do this...maybe next time)
#3 Three days using the family "home-made" latrine
(Its a good thing my sisters didn't marry into this family)
#4 Surviving a game of Sow
(Basically a game where you hit each other with sticks)
#4 Giving a Sunday "talk" during church in the woods

We took this picture around mile number five.

I was so happy when we finally reached the top of the hike. Not because I was tired but because I was thirsty. We had hiked five miles with only one water bottle between the three of us.

Ben called this spot the top of the world. It definitely felt like it!

Utah Olympic Park

Last week we visited the Utah Olympic Park in Park City. If you have never been it is definitely worth the trip. We were able to have a tour of the entire facility including the ski jump and the bob sled ride. They also have a great museum where you can learn all about the history of winter sports and the story of the Utah winter olympics.

If you are looking for a fast ride check out the bob sled at Utah Olympic Park! For only $60 you can take a 1.067 minute ride at over 100 miles per hour.

Ski season never ends in Park City. We got to watch while skiers jumped off into this beautiful pool. It was awesome!

Summer Accomodations

Ben and I are lucky to get to live with his parents this summer in their brand new house! It has been wonderful living with them and we both wonder if we were ever get to live in such a beautiful place again.
