Sick of Winter

I just realized that I haven't posted on our blog in about six weeks. I have a good excuse though. I have literally had the worst cold of my life. It moved in about five weeks ago and seemed to build a permanent residence in my chest, head, nose, throat, back, and everywhere else.

It all began when Ben came home from school one afternoon in early February and complained of not feeling well. I knew it meant bad news for me since Ben never gets sick! Sure enough, two days later, I was down for the count. A week later Ben was feeling great and I just kept getting worse and worse. The unrelenting cold in Syracuse definitely didn't help. Right when I though I was starting to get over it, we flew to Utah to say goodbye to Ben's parents. Spending 8 hours on a plane, when you're still kinda sick, is a death sentence! It was not a surprise then when two days later I started to get sick all over again. I basically spent the entire time we were in Utah in bed coughing my brains out. It was terrible. Horrible. Awful.

Thankfully, after five weeks of coughing, sneezing, wheezing, runny noseing, I think I can honestly say I am better. Somehow I managed to kick Mr. Cold out on the street. It only took over-dosing on cough drops to convince him to finally leave. I think I ate an entire bag of cough drops in less than 24 hours.

I've been updating. Now it's your turn :) Something, anything from your neck of the woods would be great. It doesn't even have to be interesting! We miss you, especially Olivia. She has been asking "Where is my god-mother?" (well, I can see it in her eyes that she is asking since she doesn't quite talk yet).
